The crime statistics are shocking.

The official FBI website provides statistics for reported crime in the United States. In 2008 there were 16,272 Murders, 89,000 Forcible rapes and 441,855 robberies reported.
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution gives Americans the right to have and bear arms. As Americans we own firearms in order to provide safety and security for our families, property and ourselves. When we exercise our right, do we truly intend to use deadly force with our firearms? Are we really prepared to end a life? Is there a way to protect ourselves with firearms without the need to use deadly force? Is life cheaper than dirt?

Less Lethal Weapons provide the alternative to deadly force.

When compared to the cost of life “Less Lethal Weapons” provides the security without requiring use of deadly force. When you factor in the saved lives they are priceless. It wasn't that long ago our Police Forces did not have any Less Lethal options leaving only Lethal Options. Today it is common for a Police officer to have Less Lethal Weapons such as the Taser®.

Why use Less Lethal Weapons?

A number of "less lethal" weapons have been developed and are commonly used by modern law-enforcement agencies and military organizations. The intent of less than lethal weapons is to subdue or incapacitate violent or dangerous suspects without causing serious harm or death.

What are Less Lethal Weapons?

Less lethal weapons include chemical irritant agents, explosive distraction devices, kinetic impact munitions, and electrical incapacitation devices. These weapons are significantly safer than traditional firearms, however no weapon can be entirely non-lethal and no weapon can be made entirely safe.

When used it causes intense burning pain and the mucous membranes to swell making breathing difficult and makes the eyes slam shut. Effects last 15-60 minutes with no lasting damage.

Explosive distraction devices

  • 12 Gage “Blammo Boomers “are theatrical blanks uses in a standard 12 Gage Shotgun. This 120+ decibel noise maker will get the attention of any attacker.

The FBI report is alarming when you think about the real world statistics of crime committed in America on a yearly basis. Less than lethal weapons continue to be improved and developed. It is comforting knowing that the public has less lethal options for self defense.
